      I think at a normal restaurant… I would agree with you However, we take into account that there’s an additional expense that these vendors have to pay in order for us to have all of these culinary delights clustered in one place. While you’re trying, lobster… I hear that the candied bacon gnocchi at the same place is excellent. And the cheeseburger eggroll in that same area is pretty darn good too. Have fun at the fair and thanks for watching!

    I remember when minimum wage was $1.25 per hour, and you could buy a hotdog for 10 cents at the Flanery's stand at the SD State Fair.

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions День назад

      If you take the context that $1.25 in 1963 is now worth around $13… Which is fairly comparable with the current minimum wage. And that $.10 hotdog would basically cost about a dollar now… I’m sure a basic hotdog at the fair probably cost about $3.50 now You certainly got a lot more for your money back then didn’t you? Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!

    I’ve read comments about using a relay to power the horns. Did a relay come with the kit? How many amps does the stock Corolla supply? My Corolla is definitely getting new horns. I’m thinking maybe a relay would both protect my factory horn circuit and hopefully make the horns even louder. Thoughts?

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions 16 дней назад

      As I mentioned in the video....I'm kind of a novice when it comes to wiring and basically am following mod directions that I have found on the forums (assumedly from people way smarter than me). I did not see any instructional where they used a relay. All I can say is that the mod is easy and it works well as is....I did not realize how well until I was driving my Morizo back from California and someone was blocking an exit. They literally could not hear my horn at all (Heck, I could barely hear it). I hope that helps and Thanks for watching

The resale and reliability on the Prime is excellent. 40,000 miles on it now, about 10,000 that are gas. Charges to full in less than 2 1/2 hours.

    Many car manufacturers seem to be doing this. If they were smart, they would would form cut lines in that moulded foam part and then sell spare tires as an option. I haven't had many flats in the last 20 years, but I have had flats and having to sit and wait for roadside service just seems seriously dumb to me.

    Great project idea! - I think short-term I'm going w/ a Modern Spare Kit w/ a carry case (that way I can throw it in the hatch on longer trips) - Longer term, I do the insert project so that I can situate it in the vehicle It woud be great if someone sold pre-cut inserts! I'd buy in a heartbeat

    Polarizing topic no matter who talks about this subject, we have elected to wait a few years to see how the whole car industry shakes out. We expect range to increase with all the effort that is going into batteries. For now, we are continuing to drive our 2013 Subaru Outback with 30 miles per gallon and adaptive cruise . We don't want to trade our tried and true car for something that we will regret spending about $40K on with either gas or electric. Again, the car paradigm is changing rapidly, we are taking the approach that the EV tech will level out in a few years. Loved your joke about the adult toy, certainly proves to us your are human just like the rest of us. Be safe out there Doc and Patty.

    I was at the 1983 Motor show in England when they first unveiled the Sierra. People gasped because it was so different. Ford UK combatted the publics initial revulsion by offering very attractive fleet vehicle deals to companies. Which got loads of them on the road so people got used to them. The rest is history! My Dad had the truck version called the P100. Great vehicle. But like all Fords in this climate, they liked to rust! Great vid Sir!

      I think the outside weather matters as well. If it gets windier or the direction of the wind changes that may cause some variation I would think. I would imagine the warmer it is outside the better compared to it being colder. Just throwing stuff out there and hoping something sticks. Thanks for the video. I own a 2024 Braptor and have heard the wind noise but it seems to be linked to how windy it is outside rather than just my speed. It gets windy out here in Hurricane, Utah.

    I want to do the same thing, I already have the external fitting for my bbq pit on the deck. Where did you get the gas line, Im sure it didnt come with the generator and with the quick connect fitting? Also, do you not need some form of regulator on the hose like you would with a bbq pit type propane tank?

    • @Springtailsolutions
      @Springtailsolutions Месяц назад

      Great Question: When we plumbed the connection to the outside of the garage (There is a hookup for a ventless heater inside the garage), The quick connect was supplied by the plumber and the hose was just purchased at the local hardware store. I don't know the answer for the regulator, there may be one in line already but I will do some checking around to see if I can find you an answer. The generator was there when the plumber did his work, so I would assume (maybe incorrectly) that he took all aspects into account. Thanks for watching!!

    At any time you can cancel auto lane change by simply tapping the turn signal. So if you have auto lane change on amd the truck engages a lane change you can tap the turn signal and cancel the lane change. There’s a 3 second delay from the time auto lane change engages til it starts to lane change so plenty of time to cancel if there’s a vehicle coming from behind too fast.

    I enjoyed your review. I bought a 2021 RAV4 PRIME and love it. I have the toyota app on my phone, and it has start and stop charging on it. The only issue is it takes 12 hrs to charge, so if you want a full charge, you still run into the different cost widows in electricity. However, there is also a schedule that can be programmed in the vehicle. If you have a level 2 charger, the charge can be completed in the previous where the hydro is at its low end. I haven't tried it since I don't have the level 2 charger, but it is there. Thanks for your review.

      Just FYI: The app and the car computer have the exact same functions. On the app you tap the charging icon, then ECO Charging, where you will see the “Start Time” and the “Departure Time”. The soonest “Departure Time” will automatically be displayed either in the car or on the app and you cannot stop the charge at any point other than when it is full i.e. no way to start at 12:01am and stop at 1:00am even if you have a level 2 charger. On level 1 it is a 12 hour charge with 110v so starting at 12:01am the soonest you can stop it is when it is fully charged at 12:01pm. All electrical rates across the USA and likely the entire world have the cheapest time from 12:01am to 6:00am, so you either have to have a timer on your level 1 cord (I did) or you have to go out and unplug the car. You cannot stop it any other way, not even with the app or getting into the car to use the computer to do it. This is the one thing that really gets my goat. What were they thinking? Clearly they were not. Wait it gets worse… Toyota National Tech Support (Yes I called them) said that they do not make, sell or recommend any other charging cord other than what was supplied with the vehicle. WTF? I asked if the car would even support a Level 2 / 220v if I had one made. They said they did not know and it may void your warranty? This is really stupid… I checked with other owners online and most had no idea as they used Level 2 chargers outside their home. I ended up installing a 220 Level 2 charger on my house and it takes exactly 2 and a half hours to fully charge the system. The app is not accurate in this area. Still all in all a great vehicle, but that is coming from owning a 2018 Subaru Outback that could only get 24 miles per gallon. The Subaru was $29K then and was the bottom of the option category. The RAV4 is the highest you can get @ $50K, but I did get $13K off so it is really a $37K investment and it gets 111 miles per gallon on EV 95% of the time and 77 miles per gallon on Auto HV/EV, so it kicks the hell out of the Subaru in that area and is a way nicer car with lots more features. That being said… This is why the tart and stop time is so important. All electrical rates across the country double or triple after 6am. So if you are charging a total of 18kw and each kw costs you 5 cents until 6am (half way) and the rate jumps to 15 cents and the vehicle gets uses 2.5kw per mile… you just went from $0.45 for a 6 hour charge to a $1.35 for the same time. If you are in a state where the rates are $0.15 at the low and $0.48 at 6:00am to noon… it is $1.35 vs. $4.32 or worse… I hope someone at Toyota reads this and understands how important it is. I personally could live with a 6 hour charge one night and then a second 6 hour charge the next as I do not drive every day. If you drive everyday you have to get a level 2 cord. In closing I think the RAV4 is a very good purchase and I discover new features everyday that I never knew I needed and in most cases I do not, still cool in my eyes.

    Those were cool little bikes , I remember them . Seams like I also remember they had the same type of big intake holes in the position skirt that the blaster 200 and the rest of that series of motor had that was prone to breaking if not regularly changed out .

    They were huge in Australia. All the 200cc bikes were. In fact I ride a Beta 200 now at 55. Perfect capacity

      Betas are amazing! The 200 came out after I bought my Sherco 125 so I have not had the chance to own one.

      Yeah....its a lot of money, especially when you can buy the plain hybrid for 12K less. I do love the plug in aspect of it though
